The seniors in personal finance had multiple guest speakers today as they were learning how to tie ties and take care of ties in preparation for their mock interviews on Tuesday, January 18. A huge thanks to Lane Stratton, Jim Garrett, Mark Louie, Evan Reese, Chris Rose, Jake Greer and Rick Stupak for teaching all of the seniors this life skill.

The Wednesday, Jan 12th home basketball games have changed due to player quarantines in La Pine. The home game schedule is now:

A big thank you to everyone in the community for doing an excellent job wearing your masks at our basketball games Friday night. We are still able to compete indoors AND have fans as long as we can maintain masks.
Come on out this Wednesday night for 2 varsity games versus LaPine, 4:30pm boys and 6pm girls.
Friday's league games at Glide have been postponed and will be rescheduled.

Congratulations to our LHS Wrestling team. They placed 8th at the NorCal Championship tournament out of 26 teams. Brayson and Morgan won their weight classes, with Morgan being named Most Outstanding Upper Weight wrestler of the tournament. Great job!

The Lakeview High School Honor Society recently held a bake sale to benefit the Animal House. Members baked goods and sold them for $1.00 each to students and staff. In all, the club made $160.00.

A huge thank you goes out to Luke and Angie from Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union. They spent the day in personal finance class at LHS going over credit scores, credit cards, loans and financial scams. They are another one of our district's community partners!

Thursday's (12/16/21) varsity basketball games with Ontario have been cancelled due to road conditions. Please continue to check the LCSD7 social media sites for rapid changes to the basketbal l and wrestling schedules due to weather events this season.

Please come out and support our basketball players tomorrow night starting at 5pm in the LHS Gym! The following is a reminder about the mask requirement for attendance at the event.
In order to continue allowing spectators at our games, all attendees must wear masks at all times in the gym. This is nothing new, as it is OHA’s continued expectation for indoor activities. Those who choose not to follow the state laws on masking will cause the game to be delayed until compliance is reached or will create a situation where only limited spectators are permitted. Individuals may also be asked to leave if they choose not to wear a mask. Our hope is that our community will support our student athletes and remind one another what we all have to do to attend these indoor contests.

I love our community partners! Thanks to Eric and Matt at WaFd for coming into personal finance classes today to chat with the seniors about banking! We are so fortunate to live in this community where everyone wants to be a part of our kids' education.

Good afternoon elementary parents, attached you will find important information regarding the Holiday Programs this week.

Attention all Lake County School District students and families:

LHS/DMS Band and Choir will be putting on their Winter Concert this Wednesday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the DMS Gymnasium! Masks are required at this event! Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Due to the need to improve compliance with the indoor mask rules, today's home basketball games can only be attended by parents and siblings of the Lakeview HS student athletes. Please respect this decision and only come to the gym if you are a parent, guardian, or sibling of one of the high school basketball players. Roger Singleton will be broadcasting the game live on the Lakeview Honker Broadcast Facebook page for all to enjoy. Thank you.
